Course description

This is an exciting and varied course, based on the vocational area of Health and Social Care. If you have a lively and enquiring mind and are thinking of working in care, health, social services or teaching , or consider yourself to be a “people person” this would be a useful area of study.

Course content

Year 1 units of work are studied:

2 Working in Health and Social Care – examined

7 Principles of Safe Practice in Health and Social Care

8 Promoting Public Health

9 Infection Prevention and Control

Year 2

3 Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care - examined

4 Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care – controlled assessment
