IT User Apprenticeship at Northampton College

Course description

iTQ is an ideal way to equip employees with relevant and effective Information Technology (IT) skills that are right for your business. iTQ is tailored to meet your requirements so candidate will only learn the skills your business needs. The programme is designed to nationally recognised IT standards and will help you and your staff to make the best use of technology at work and everyday life. The apprentice will complete the following: - Diploma in IT Users Level 2 - Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English - Employees Rights and Responsibilities - Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Course content

Apprentices will gain practical skills and qualifications that your business needs both now and in the future. With a mixture of on and off the job training they will learn the skills that will work best for your business. Apprenticeships can make your business more productive and effective by addressing your skills gaps.

Entry requirements

You must be in relevant employment to start an Apprenticeship and pass an assessment in English and Maths.


The Diploma is evaluated through a series of practical assessments and a portfolio of work - Functional Skills are assessed through examinations where appropriate - Average duration is 24 months
