Graphic Design BTEC Level 2 Specialist Diploma at Adeyfield School

Course description

This course is designed for students to develop a range of skills and techniques in graphic design in a vocational context. This allows progression onto possible employment in a graphic design related job or progression on to further study at Level 3.

Course content

There is quite a variety in the units that can be studied and six units will be studied. The content will include graphic materials, design drawing skills, design ideas and concepts, advertising in graphic design, technical drawing skills and working with design briefs.

Assessment

Students will develop a portfolio of evidence as the course is 100% coursework based. A portfolio of evidence is internally assessed and externally verified. Depending upon what units are covered will dictate the form the evidence will take. It is anticipated a wide range of skills will be demonstrated through a variety of assignments.
