Course description

Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and behaviour. The A2 course covers a number of areas of Applied Psychology, Research Methods in greater depth and an overview of Perspectives and Debates in Psychology. The modules at A2 are Clinical Psychology and Criminological Psychology – 1 written examination, Environmental Psychology and Research Methods – 1 written examination and Perspectives and Debates in Psychology – 1 written examination.

Future opportunities

You could take this course with other advanced level courses such as a science or one of the humanities to prepare for higher education in Psychology or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Psychology and people such as a Counsellor, Nurse or Psychologist. You could also specialise in a particular area of Psychology such as education or mental health depending on the area that interests you.
