Science at St Bonaventure's RC School
Science is one of the core subjects, so all students take the subject for GCSE. GCSE Science is a new qualification (from September 2006) based on the Key Stage 4 Programme of Study for Science. The content is more relevant to students in their everyday life. Three units are taken in Year 10, one Physics, one Chemistry and one Biology, making up GCSE Science. Three more units are taken in Year 11, making up GCSE additional Science.
You could take this course, which is equivalent to two GCSE's, to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Science and specialise in one area of science or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediat
