Applied ICT at Sacred Heart Catholic High School
The Applied ICT course can be taken either as an AS qualification for one year, or the full A2 qualification over two years. It is different from traditional A-level courses as most of the work is assessed by coursework. If you have studied ICT at Key Stage 4 with either the GCSE ICT, GCSE Computing or Cambridge Nationals courses, this would be an ideal A-level qualification to continue your studies with
ICT. The course focusses on how ICT and computers are used in a business environment and includes topics such as Web Development, Interactive
Multimedia, Publishing, Project Management and Data Handling.
Exam Board: OCR Applied ICT
Assessment: Portfolio Work (80%), Exam (20%)
