Course description

AS Units - Year OneA focus on British PoliticsStudents are introduced to the key channels of communication between Government and the people. It encourages them to evaluate the adequacy of existing arrangements for ensuring representative democracy and participation. Unit 1: People and Politics Unit 2: Governing the UKA2 Units - Year TwoA focus on American PoliticsStudents examine the major governmental processes within the USA. The year encourages students to develop a critical understanding of the role and effectiveness of key institutions, and of the relationship amongst them in the context of multi-level governance. Entry requirements

Entry Guidelines
GCSE History grade C, English Lit or Lang grade B (preferred).
A good C will be
considered if high grades are achieved in linked subjects.
