Computer Science at Maltby Academy
Computer Science will be relevant to the modern and changing world of computers. It's a creative subject that combines invention and excitement and you can look at the natural world through digital prism. You will learn computanional thinking to help solve problems, design systems and understanding the power and limits of human and machine intelligence.

A minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths grade 6+ (essential), Computer Science grade B (essential) and English grade 6+ (desirable)
2 exams (40% each)

This course can be used as a stepping stone to an ICT related course at University. ICT is such a diverse subject that there are almost a limitless number of jobs you cab go in to. Some of the common one include programmer, games designer, hardware designer, technician and network manager.
You will also learn skills such as teamwork and leadership, communication, organisation, report writing, retrieval of information and numercacy. This could help you to get in to career areas such as management, sales, human resources and education.
