Course description

This course will teach you skills that will assist you in gaining employment in the exciting hospitality. You will learn valuable restaurant and bar skills along with customer focused skills and techniques. The qualification is highly sought after by restaurants and will increase your customer focused skills.

Course content

You will cover a wide range of skills required in the Front of House area of the hospitality industry including:

  • Food and Beverage service
  • Customer service skills
  • Gauridon - flambé
  • Wines and spirits service – including cocktails
  • Marketing and promotions
  • Stock control

Entry requirements

To begin this course you will need a genuine interest in catering.


Practical and written knowledge assessments.

Further information

You will need to purchase a “25 Restaurant” uniform and suitable food wear. The department has a nominated supplier which will provide you with a discount!
