Light Vehicle Engineering Level 3 Diploma at Accrington and Rossendale College

Course description

This Level 3 qualification offers the technical needs for today’s Motor Vehicle repair industry, including the diagnosis of complex system faults and advanced system operations. It provides the essential knowledge for service technicians working on light vehicles. There will be a mixture of theoretical and practical delivery.

Entry requirements

A recognised Level 2 qualification in Motor Engineering or substantial industrial experience evidence


You will be assessed by direct observation of practical tasks in the workshops and online tests of your knowledge of theory.

Financial information

This course is free of charge for 16 – 18 year olds.

This course will cost a maximum of £480 for learners aged 19 years old or above. This fee may be reduced or void depending on the individual’s circumstances.

Future opportunities

This qualification prepares learners to progress on to a Level 4 programme of study.
