Physics A level at Balcarras School
The course will develop your fascination and enthusiasm for physics, including developing an interest in further study and careers associated with the subject.
The course is content led in its approach allowing lessons to be challenging as well as engaging. Content is laid out clearly in a series of teaching modules. The start of the AS course will give you the foundations required to make the GCSE to AS transition smoother. Although practical will form a considerable part of the course, there is no coursework component.
Students wishing to take physics should have at least B in additional science or B in physics, B in maths. We would strongly recommend combining this course with AS maths mechanics.
