Music at The Bramcote College
The course we follow is designed to provide a secure foundation in a range of musical skills. Students are not necessarily expected to have studied music at GCSE, though students will need to play an instrument well, have had or are planning to have lessons in that instrument.
Students will learn to compose music and learn about a variety of musical methodologies. There will be opportunities for performance and technical study as well as the chance to perfect skills either as soloists or as part of an ensemble. There are plenty of opportunities for students to develop their interest in a variety of exciting styles.
The course is a mixture of externally assessed coursework and modular examination, including a listening and composition element.
5 x A*- C grades at GCSE.
