Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (2D) City & Guilds Award Level 3 at Cornwall College

Course description

Applicants progress at their own speed, working from teaching material with assistance from the tutor.  Each learner will work at their own computer terminal.  The course is for learners who wish to obtain the City & Guilds qualification in Computer-Aided Draughting with Autocad, consequently, all learners on this course will be expected to enter for the assessment.  All course material is made available on line to learners allowing them to work from home or the workplace. 

Assessment for this course is continuous and learners have to complete two drawing assignments and one multiple choice examination paper.  Learners are also required to complete a log book.

Course content

This course is aimed at those who have experience of using CAD and looking to advance their skills within the Engineering and Marine sector.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however a good knowledge of CAD is essential.

Future opportunities

After completing this course, there are courses available studying 3D CAD systems and modules from the Foundation Degree in Engineering.  Please call for more information.
