Advanced Professional Cookery Level 3 Diploma at Basingstoke College of Technology
You will receive instruction, guidance and encouragement to practise and develop the skills necessary to achieve the award. The course covers a range of subjects including:
- The Hospitality and Catering industry
- Preparation methods
- Cooking methods
- Workplace skills
Students will also undertake functional Skills level 2 English and Maths
To start this course you will need Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering, or accredited prior learning with a skills test.
The course is continuously assessed with testing through written and practical assignments.
If you are aged 16-18, tuition and registration fees are free.
If you are aged 19 or over, tuition and registration fees are payable at the start of each year of study; please ask for details.
If you are aged 24 or over, you may be eligible for a Student Loan to assist with your fees; please ask for details.
This course is a recognised route into full time employment within local, national and international establishments.
Each course offers appropriate work experience to complement the knowledge and skills you will learn at college. There will be a visits to The Restaurant Show and various other eating experiences (costs will be varied). Other trips may be arranged during the period of this course.
