History (Early Modern) at The Sixth Form College Colchester

Course description

Students choose to study one of three time periods: Medieval (Crusades, William the Conqueror), Early Modern (Wars of the Roses, Henry VII, Luther), Modern (Britain & Europe 20th Century, fascism etc). All the options have coursework in Year 2. Students do not need to have studied a specific time period at GCSE History.

Entry requirements

Minimum Grade C in GCSE History and English Language is required, as well as a grade B or above in at least one predominantly written based subject (English, English Language, English Literature, History, Religious Studies or Sociology). Good writing skills and an interest in reading are essential to success.
