Music Technology at BARR BEACON SCHOOL

Course description

Music technology, like other forms of technology, advances rapidly. This qualification provides opportunities to embrace recent developments in this field. This course is designed to introduce students to the world of preofessional recording skills and production techniques. The course is 60% practical and students will have the opportunity to sequence MIDI, sequence audio, record live audio, produce CD's and compose using music technology. The second part of the course is focused on listening and students will study the development of popular music styles from 1910 to 2010.
