Art and Design: Fine Art A Level at Easingwold School

Course description

Students follow a broad theme-based Art & Design syllabus which allows the students to develop a personal and individual approach to their work.

Areas Covered
Drawing, Painting and Printing, Three Dimensional Studies/Sculpture, Textiles, Graphics and, Historical and Critical Studies.

There will be a visit to a major cultural centre such as London, New York, Paris or Barcelona during the course. Students will be expected to develop a clear interest in the work of other artists.

To gain full benefit from the course, in addition to regular homework tasks, students keep a personal work journal which is used to support, develop and extend their experience, knowledge and understanding of Art.

Entry requirements

At least 5 GCSE grades A* - C, preferably including English and Maths.
