Health and Social Care CACHE Diploma Level 2 at New College Nottingham
Health and social care is a growing industry, so this is a great time to start your career in the caring profession.
If you enjoy working with people and like the idea of making life that bit easier for others, this is the course for you.
You'll learn about all the skills you'll need to support people, as well as having the opportunity to volunteer in different health and social care settings so that you can put your knowledge into practise.
You'll study a variety of units, including:
- Communication in health and social care
- Human lifespan development
- Equality and diversity
- Health and social care services
- The impact of diet on health
If you do not already have a GCSE C grade in maths and/or English, you will also study these subjects as part of your overall programme.
During the course, you'll be encouraged to take up volunteer placements in health and social care settings so you can put your knowledge into practise and gain confidence in your practical skills.
You'll need 4 GCSEs including English language and maths (2 at grades A*-D, 1 at grade A*-E and English at grade A*-D) or Level 1 Foundation Learning Programme at Merit.
This course is free for UK and EU residents who are aged between 16 and 18.
You'll have assignment tasks for each unit and assessments for English and maths.
You could go on to study Level 3 Health and Social Care or Level 3 Health Sciences.
