An assessment of suitability for an AS-level course will be made by interview, together with information about ability, effort, expected performance at GCSE and suitability for an AS-level course.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Philosophy, which could lead onto higher education in Philosophy, the Social Sciences, Religious Studies or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Philosophy, People or Religion by working in Human Relations, Research or Teaching. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for
