This qualification contributes to the underpinning knowledge andunderstanding requirements of the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in KitchenServices. The knowledge and understanding of the identified NationalOccupational Standards have been used to direct the assessment of thisqualification. This qualification is aimed at those working or who areseeking to start a career in kitchen services as chefs and cooks who maybe cooking and reheating food that is bought in and that requires little orno preparation. This could be in more mainstream restaurants or in someparts of public sector catering.
