Psychology AS/A Level at Bury College
Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. If you are considering taking Psychology you need to be curious about both typical and atypical behaviour. You should enjoy thinking about and scientifically researching questions such as: Why do I obey police officers? Why can I listen to the radio and play on a computer game at the same time? How can a person with a fear of spiders be treated? This course also includes occasional guest speakers and trips relevant to psychology.
To study three AS Levels or two AS Levels and one Applied Qualification then the entry requirements are six GCSEs at or above grade C/4 including three subjects or more at or above grade C/5.This includes GCSE English Language grade 9-4 (A*-C). Should you wish to study four AS Levels the entry requirements are six GCSEs at or above grade C/4 including two subjects or more at or above grade C/5 and two subjects or more at or above B/6.In addition to the above a minimum of 9 grade points are required from maths and English combined.
