Hospitality Supervision Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at New College Stamford

Course description

If you would like a career in front-of-house, restaurant or bar service this course will provide you with the practical first-hand skills and knowledge in supervision, leadership techniques, event organisation and management experience; along with food and beverage serving and presentation skills.You will also have the chance to meet and gain advice from industry expert guest speakers as well as the opportunity to attend master classes hosted by local industry providers; all whilst gaining the real life experience you need in the College’s Gallery Restaurant. In addition, you will also study an Award in Barista Skills Level 2.

Entry requirements

Hospitality Services Diploma Level 2 and 4 weeks industry work experience, or appropriate practical industrial experience, and Level 2 or equivalent in English and preferably maths.

Financial information

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.

Future opportunities

University or employment in Hotel Reception, Events Management, or Hospitality Services, or a Hospitality Apprenticeship.

Further information

You will require a uniform, equipment, reference books, and the ability to participate in educational visits to support your learning. Health, safety and hygene standards will also need to be met and work experience will assist your progression and possible employment.
