Creative Media Production BTEC Level 1 and 2 Diploma at The Littlehampton Academy

Course description

Would you like to learn about video editing, animation and digital photography and create your own videos and images in response to a brief?

The course will help you to develop creative and practical skills, as well as teaching you how to research, plan and produce media texts.

It will help you decide if you would like study further and work in the in the Media sector, as you will learn about different careers and job roles in these areas.

Course content

You will plan and produce a variety of media products; these may include a print advert, a video and a multimedia product.

You will develop your knowledge of when and why photography and editing is carried out and you will generate ideas by using research to inform your planning. You will then create and edit photographs and footage and you will review your work by collecting feedback and reviewing aspects that went well and aspects that could be improved.

You will learn about different types of employment and job roles in the Media sector.

Entry requirements

No previous study of Media required.

Assessment

100% coursework.

Future opportunities

Creative Media Btec Level 2, and then Media Studies A Level or Creative Media Btec Level 3. Many of our students go on to study Media Production at university. You could go into a variety of areas, such as photography, animation, computer game design, editing and journalism.
