LA2 – Understanding Legal Reasoning, Methods and Personnel European Law: Sources Legislation: Statutory interpretation; delegated legislation Doctrine of precedent: Legal reasoning; court hierarchy Law Reform: Methods Personnel: Structure of the legal professions; judges and magistrates

LA3 – Criminal Law and Justice Factors which may negate criminal liability Elements of substantive criminal law Police Powers: Admissibility of evidence; remedies for breach police powers (inc. new powers of terrorist arrest/detention)
LA4 – Criminal Law and Justice Principles of criminal law and justice Factors which may negate criminal liability Prosecution and criminal trial processes Sentencing

Entry requirements

A* - C grades with a B grade in the applicant's chosen A level subjects for automatic entry. If an applicant attains C grades in the GCSE subjects they wish to study at A levels, entry is subject to a discussion with the Heads of Subject and Head of Sixth Form
