IMIAL Entry Level Diploma for the Introduction to Vehicle Technology (Entry 3) *Fees Payable* at Martec Training

Course description

This course is available to all 16 - 19 year olds who have completed the IMIAL Entry Level Certificate for the Introduction to Vehicle Technology (Entry 3)Based at Martec training 2 -3 days a week, you will learn about :- Motor vehicle workshop safety, the Retail Automotive Maintenance nd Repair Industry, workshop tools and equipment, valeting, tyre and braking checks, principles of steering and suspension systems, simple body repairs, component fitting, routine cooling and lubrication system checks.It will also help with the development of your functional skills in English, Mathematics and ICT and you will learn a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

Entry requirements

This course is available to all 16 - 19 year olds who have completed the IMIAL Entry Level Certificate for the Introduction to Vehicle Technology (Entry 3) but the learner MUST commence the course at least 6 months prior to his/ her 19th birthday.

Future opportunities

The Diploma is ideal for 16-19 year old learners who enjoy the sector and wish to develop experience in a variety of motor industry sectors, at a level suiting their ability. The inclusion of Level 1 optional units also allows learners the opportunity to progress to a higher level of IMI Awards qualification, if they are able.
