Course description

Systems and Control is a practical subject and is an excellent combination for any studentstudying Science, Maths or ICT.Students study Electronic, Mechanical and Pneumatic systems and use these to solveproblems and design and create products. The course content can be divided into 4 areas: Materials, Components and Application  Designing and Making  Design and Manufacture  Designing and Making PracticeAreas of study include: Resistant Materials  Electronic System Components  Electronic Processing Systems Mechanical Systems  Pneumatic Systems  Computer Aided Design  Computer AidedManufacture  Industrial and Commercial Practices

Entry requirements

This course should be considered by students who have an interest in Electronics and/orSystems and Control and enjoy practical type assignments. Students are not required to have aGCSE in Electronic Products. Students who have not studied Electronics at GCSE should havea minimum GCSE C grade in Science (Physics) and/or Maths at GCSE level.
