Philosophy & Ethics at Bungay High School

Course description

This course explores famous philosophers ranging from Socrates to Aquinas to Dawkins. Many topics are discussed in class such as what is right and wrong, or the existence of God. Students are encouraged to question and criticise the thoughts and beliefs, both of themselves and others.

Entry requirements

For level 3 courses, the minimum requirement is 5 A*-C GCSE grades (normally including English and Maths) and a minimum of a grade C in the subject you wish to study. For some subjects including mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and modern foreigh languages you must have a minimum of a grade B. Condsideration will also be given to the manner in which you have worked during your GCSE course.

For level 2 courses there is no minimum entry requirement but you must have an aptitude for this type of study.
