Course description

If you are a musician whose primary interest lies in popular music then this course will provide you with a range of music technology and musical skills, developing your composition technique through the use of technology and your wider awareness of popular music. During the course you will learn how to record and produce bands, compose and arrange in popular music styles using Cubase and study popular music and jazz from 1910 to the present day.What will I learn?AS level•Music technology portfolio 1•Listening and analysingA2 level•Music technology portfolio 2•Analysing and producing

Entry requirements

NBP16C level 3 entry requirement, including grade C in music, grade 4 standard in any instrument and the ability to read staff notation.
