Photography BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 at Bracknell and Wokingham College

Course description

This course will provide you with a broad range of photographic skills and a comprehensive understanding of photography. This is an 18 unit course equivalent to three A Levels. You will study five compulsory core units plus 13 others from a range of photography specialist areas. The core units cover fundamentals of art and design, techniques and materials, concepts and influences, visual recording and communication, which will support your photographic studies. The focus of the course is photography, with specialist units covering photographic technology, image capture/manipulation, darkroom/digital techniques, experimental, studio and location photography.

Entry requirements

• Four GCSE s at grade A*-C, including English Language, or relevant vocational qualifications at merit or above • If you do not have a grade C in GCSE maths you will be required to be working towards achieving this alongside your course

Future opportunities

•  Higher Education - successful students may apply for degree or Higher National Diploma courses in Photography at university or art college. This course could give you between 120 and 360 UCAS points depending on your final grade • Employment - in a professional photography field
