Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Knowsley Community College

Course description

During this course you will study a wide range of subjects that will give you an in-depth understanding of working in the performing arts. Through projects and workshops you will develop your skills in acting, dancing and singing as well as gaining an understanding of the performing arts business and professional development. You will be required to audition for shows and to promote the department and the college through a wide range of performances in and around the Liverpool area.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade C or above including English or An equivalent vocational qualification ( e.g. Level 2 Diploma in Media at Merit or Distinction) and appropriate level Functional Skills qualifications

Financial information

Usual writing equipment for theory lessons (pen, paper, file) and as this course involves physical activity, students will be expected to provide suitable clothing and footwear for these classes.

Future opportunities

At the end of your course you will probably wish to progress onto university or drama school. There is also a very wide range of employment possibilities open to you such as; DJ , Actor, Dancer, Set Designer, Production Assistant, Stage Manager and Teacher
