Critical Thinking AS at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College

Course description

A course designed to help you think more clearly. You will learn how to tell the difference between a quarrel and an argument, how to see through other people’s false reasoning and how to put your own opinions across more effectively. You will learn how to assess the credibility of witnesses, evaluate different kinds of evidence and analyse passages such as newspaper articles.

Entry requirements

Six or more GCSEs at B or above to include English Language and Maths plus an interest in discussion, new ideas and controversy and a willingness to consider other people's points of view.
