Law (Applied) - Level 3 BTEC National Certificate at Whitefield School

Course description

Law is ideal to study with any combination of subjects. You will study major issues as regards the law that affect us now and in the future.

Course content

Law issues and skills including:
Dispute Solving in the English Legal System
Understanding Law Making
Aspects of Legal Liability

Entry requirements

In order to study Applied Law, students must achieve at least 5 A* to C grades at GCSE level. This should include English Language and Mathematics.

Assessment

Students follow the Applied Law Level 3 BTEC National Certificate Edexcel syllabus. This course is 100% coursework, and all three units are externally moderated.

Future opportunities

Law is a highly regarded subject for entry to higher education. It is particularly valuable for careers in accountancy, the civil service and for students looking to become chartered legal executive, solicitor, barrister, or paralegal and legal apprenticeship.
