Course description

The exciting hospitality and catering programmes offer apprentices the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience, utilising the College's training restaurant. South Devon College's hospitality and catering learners have a renowned reputation, achieving prestigious jobs at the Ritz, Savoy, Fortnum and Mason and Le Manoir. High levels of motivation and drive are required, along with attention to detail, charisma and good people and communication skills. Roles are varied and you could be involved with planning menus, dealing with suppliers, managing a budget, monitoring and maintaining the quality of food, no two days will ever be the same!

  • You also choose a number of optional units from a wide range that includes:

  • Contribute to promoting hospitality services and products.

  • You will be required to have achieved Maths at Level 2
