Course description

Why study Business Studies? If you are interested in current affairs and the financial world then this is the course for you. Your course of study will help you understand how contemporary businesses operate in a dynamic global marketplace. You will develop valuable key skills such as being able to present arguments and make judgements based on the available data. What Is Business Studies? This is a academic course that will enable you the focus on the dynamic nature on today’s business world. You will consider the major challenges facing business start-ups and the major functions of a business including people, operations, finance and marketing. It encourages the practical application of business concepts by exploring events in the business world and relating these to theories and practice.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics are required.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 in Business Studies, which could lead onto higher education in areas of business studies, marketing, accounting or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to business studies.
