Performing and Production Arts (Dance) Level 2 Diploma at Stratford-upon-Avon College

Course description

Have you always had an interest in or enjoyed dancing? Do you want to develop your skills and experience further?

If so, the UAL Level 2 Diploma in Dance is the course for you! This course is a practical, performance-related course that will give you an insight into the career of a dancer. Study will combine both practical and theoretical subjects helping you to develop your technique, performance skills and your knowledge of dance from the perspective of a choreographer, an audience member, a producer and performer.

Entry requirements

You will need to have at least:

  • 2 GCSEs at grade D / grade 3 or above including English Language, or;
  • 2 GCSEs at grade D / grade 3 or above and
  • Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English, or; Level 1 qualification in a relevant vocational subject and either GCSE English Language at grade D / grade 3 or above or Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English.

You will also be required to attend an audition workshop

Mature students without formal qualifications who show commitment to the subject area may join the course following a successful interview and audition.


You will be assessed through the completion of assignments and performance-related projects throughout the course. Attendance and application in all areas is essential for successful completion.
