Business Studies A Level at Branston Community Academy

Course description

The emphasis is on problem solving with a background of theory being introduced to solve problems arising in case studies. These case studies are usually based on actual firms and give the students a real insight into how business operates.

Modules include: Planning and Financing a Business; Managing a Business; The Business Environment and Managing change.

Entry requirements

A broad general education with acceptable GCSE grades or their equivalent is needed. Business Studies at GCSE is NOT a requirement. Keenness, interest or curiosity is of equal importance.

Future opportunities

This qualification is useful to those students who seek employment in the business sector and to those intending to enter higher education as it is accepted alongside other A levels for University entrance.
