YEAR 12:

Unit 1: Investigating Media

Exam: 2 hour written exam (50% of AS)

Unit 2: Creating Media

Practical: Two linked production pieces taken from two of the three media platforms studied in Unit 1 plus 1,500 word evaluation (50% of AS)

YEAR 13:

Unit 3: Critical Perspectives

Exam: 2 hour written exam (50% of A2)

Unit 4: Research & Production

Practical (50% of A2) Two sections

Entry requirements

Grade B in GCSE English, within one of the below:

3 A Level subjects + General Studies: 3 Grade B in chosen subjects + 2 Grade C, including Grade B in Maths & English Language

4 A Level subjects + General Studies: 2 Grade A/A* + 2 Grade B in chosen subjects + 1 Grade C, including Grade B in Maths & English Language
