Mathematics - AS Level at William Hulme's Grammar School Academy

Course description

Although some students may want to study Mathematics purely for its own sake, and perhaps end up taking a Mathematics degree, the majority of potential students of the subject will see it more as an important tool for other disciplines. For a Sixth Former intending to be a physicist, engineer, designer, chemist, pharmacist, geographer, doctor, dentist or economist, the more mathematics he or she knows the better. Mathematics is an essential tool in any technological subject, in business and in commerce, primarily because it provides a means of communication which is powerful, concise and unambiguous

Entry requirements

A good grade (A* or A) at GCSE is an essential pre-requisite for AS or A level studies.

Many students contuinue with A2 Level Mathematics
