The BTEC Art and Design course is aimed primarily at students who enjoy every aspect of Art. The course will involve units of work based on painting and drawing, graphic design, photography and 3D studies. The course consists of 8 hours a week of practical study time developing student’s skill base and producing a varied portfolio of work. The course is designed to give students vocational experience and give an insight into the working world of Art and Design.

Entry requirements

Level 2 BTEC courses are available to students who do not attain 5 C grades at GCSE. Studentsstudying these courses may progress onto Level 3 courses but will need to achieve a minimum of aMerit (grade B) at Level 2.
