Course description

Law is the study of the rules that govern society. It considers how laws are created, how they are used to maintain order and the processes involved when laws are broken. AS: law making, dispute solving, concept of liability.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an advanced GCE in Law, which could lead onto higher education in areas of law, business studies, politics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to law such as a Lawyer, Solicitor or Barrister. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification, which will help you develop the basic skills, understanding and knowledge that many other employers across lots of industries are looking for.
