Course description

The Diploma provides a unique opportunity to bring together the workforces of health, adult social care, community justice, and children and young people’s services within one qualification. You will learn about human development and behaviour and about the sectors which support well-being throughout our lives. The nine compulsory units are: • Principles, Values and Personal Development • Working Together and Communicating • Safeguarding and Protecting Individuals • Growth, Development and Healthy Living • Needs and Preferences • Anti-Social and Offending Behaviour • Supporting Children and Young People • Patient-Centred Health • The Social Model of Disability Is there coursework? Assessment is mainly through coursework. Grades are awarded from A*-C.
