Course description

Acacia Training often offers learners additional courses that are either optional extras as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship or to help build knowledge towards the NVQ as required. Course content

This qualification is aimed at staff in critical support services roles including porters, security staff, housekeepers, laundry workers, caterers, cleaners, and transportation. Learners working in any of these roles play a critical part in ensuring that patients, users and carers experience a quality service. This qualification is appropriate for full or part-time workers employed within the NHS or by independent health care providers

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to demonstrate your competence in a real working environment. This Level 3 Diploma is often a progression route from the QCF Diploma Level 2


This QCF Diploma is assessed in your own workplace and you will be allocated an Assessor who will visit you to carry out observations of your work and help you to identify relevant evidence of your competence in work.

Financial information

The Learning & Skills Council require Acacia Training to choose Advanced Apprenticeship funding over any other form of funding where there is a choice. The Advanced Apprenticeship is now available for all ages (subject to eligibility) and is made up of a framework of the Diploma a Technical Certificate and Functional Skills. The QCF Diploma is also available commercially to those who are not eligible for funding at a price of £1300 +VAT.

For learners aged 24+, this qualification is funded through a learner loan
