Course description

History at A Level focuses on three main topics; Democracy and Dictatorship in Germany 1919-1963, Crisis and Rebellion during the Tudor period and Russian Revolutions during 1894-1924.

The course allows students to study history from a variety of countries and periods and develop a range of skills. The aims of the course are for students to develop a coherent knowledge of the past, understanding of historical concepts and the ability to communicate historical arguments and conclusions clearly and succinctly with reference to appropriate historical terminology.
