Philosophy A Level at Vandyke Upper School and Community College

Course description

The course will allow you to engage with fundamental questions of morality, human consciousness and faith. You will evaluate arguments made by philosophers throughout history who have attempted to address the very essence of human existance.

Moral Philosophy
Metaphysics of God
Metaphysics of mind

Entry requirements

You will have gained a minimum Grade 5 in English language or Literature and a minimum Grade 5 in a Humanities subject (History or Geography).

Assessment

There are two examiniations at the end of Year 13; assessment for the specification is 100% exam based.
