You’ll work with different animals learning how to care for them.

Course content

Your course may include

  • Dog grooming
  • looking at animal health
  • animal nursing
  • kennel management
  • farm animals
  • welfare and biology
  • feeding and accommodation.

All learners will undertake work experience.


Future opportunities


Once you have completed Level 3 you could progress on to Higher Education with us and study for a HNC or HND in Animal Management at University Centre Grimsby.

These courses, which require 120 UCAS points for entry, are perfect for anyone thinking of entering the industry at Supervisory or Management level. If you wanted to take your education even further you could think about becoming an Animal Behaviourist, Trainer or even specialise in Animal Science.
