Music Technology Level 2 at Access Creative College

Course description

This course is for producers and aspiring sound engineers who want to gain further skills for work at Level 3 (A Level standard). You will cover all areas of music production, creating tracks using DAWs, together with the basics of live and recorded sound.

Course content

IMPROVE YOUR MUSICIANSHIP Develop your understanding of how music works.

WRITE & REMIX SONGS Start writing your own tracks using DAWs and arrange tunes by other artists, working in fully equipped Apple Mac tech suites using Logic.

MIX LIVE & STUDIO SOUND Set up and mix sound in both live and studio set-ups.

DEVELOP BUSINESS SKILLS Learn about working in the music industry.

Entry requirements

We value your creative passion and skills above all else. However, you will also need to demonstrate that you are able to work at Level 2 (GCSE standard) and we will take your actual, or predicted, grades into account.

Future opportunities

You will achieve a Level 2 RSL Music Practitioners Diploma which can lead to further skills development on Level 3 production or technology courses.
