Customer Service Apprenticeship Level 2 at Isle of Wight College

Course description

This course is for anyone seeking employment in the Customer Service Industry. The course includes both theory and practical skills which are put into practice in the workplace.

Course content

The Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework in Customer Service will give you the skills and knowledge that you will need to build a career within Customer Service.

The Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework includes the following:

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Customer Service
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in Numeracy and Literacy
  • ERR (Employment Rights and Responsibilities)
  • PLTS (Personal Learning and Thinking Skills)

Entry requirements

C and above in Maths and English or equivalent or ability to gain Level 1 Functional Skills.


You will attend The Isle Of Wight College on a day release one day per week for your Functional Skills and to attend any exams. You will also be assessed approx every 4-6 weeks in the workplace where you will be reviewed and assessed by a member of our team.

Future opportunities

Once you complete this qualification you may be able to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship or move into full time employment.

Many employers will tend to keep their Apprentices on after they complete their Apprenticeship but permanent employment is not guaranteed after learners complete their apprenticeship.
