Course description

If you have a keen interest in sport and the leisure industry, and you are interested in learning through a variety of practical and a classroom activities then this could be the course for you.

Course content

The BTEC National in Sport uses a variety of assessment styles to give you the confidence to apply your knowledge and understanding in the work place and to have the study skills to continue learning on higher education courses and throughout your career

Entry requirements

5 or more standard GCSE passes (grade 4 or higher)




3 Mandatory Units

Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology (120 GLH)

Written Exam marked by Pearson

Unit 2: Fitness Training and Programming for Health and Well-being (120 GLH)

Controlled assessment marked by Pearson

Unit 3: Professional Development in the Sports Industry (60 GLH)

Assignment marked internally

1 Optional Unit
