Basic Food Hygiene at Aurelia Training Limited

Course description

This course has been designed to meet the Skills for Care Common Induction Standard 8.11 and the QCF: Health and Social Care Diploma Unit HSC 2029. Training in basic food hygiene must now be given to all food handlers in organisations such as care homes and nurseries. This includes all kitchen staff, assistants who help to serve food at meal times and any other member of staff likely to come into contact with food in the organisation.

The areas covered include;
• Food hygiene legislation
• The causes and prevention of food poisoning
• Personal hygiene required by food handlers
• The storage and temperature control of food
• How to prepare and serve food
• Cleaning procedures
• Handling of refuse

Training is delivered through an interactive 3 hour course delivered on site at your place of work for groups of 8 or more or for smaller groups, through local venues in Coventry and South Birmingham.
