Professional Cookery Level 2 Diploma at Aylesbury College
This course is for students who do not have work placement to secure an apprenticeship at level 2.
You will develop your food preparation skills in one of our training kitchens under the guidance of an experienced Chef Lecturer.
Example modules Food Safety
Preparation and Cooking Fish
Meat and Poultry Dishes
Soups and Sauces
Basic pasta and Pulse Dishes
Level 1 in Professional Cookery . You will also be required to attend an interview with the Tutor prior to enrolment.
You will be assessed by continuous assessment based on observed practical performance and external theory tests.
You will be required to purchase a kit and books.
Upon completion of this course students can progress on to a Advanced Apprenticeship or level 3 study programme within Catering and Hospitality.
Students who have successfully completed this qualification can gain employment in the Catering and Hospitality industry.
